Cricket Club Soranerne is represented in the Danish Cricket Federation and is played with two teams in 2nd Division (East) and 3rd Division (East). The club is based in Gentofte Stadium.

The backbone of the club is the love of the game of cricket. This means that every game we play must be a good game, weather permitting (: Soranerne play as gentlemen - win or lose (preferably the former, though). CC Soranerne should be known in Danish Cricket as a side with very high morale and we take oath to keep it that way. CC-Soranerne through good cricket and good behavior on and off the cricket pitch, improves and promotes the game of cricket and the spirit of Danish cricket.
CC Soranerne was originally only for former pupils of Sorø Academy which is a public school with a very good reputation situated in the town of Sorø. This academy was the venue of the first registered game of cricket in Denmark in 1866. Cricket is still taught at the academy by old pupils - and members of CC Soranerne. The club is now open for all players and members of the Danish Cricket Federation. The club's current president is Anders Rex Larsen. He along with few others (Philip, Bill, Klavs, Flemming) take care of the formal work in the board.
The membership fee is DKK 650,- a year. Club equipment is there for you to use at the beginning so you don't have to buy kit to start playing. You are, however, expected to get your own kit within reasonable time - whatever that is. We hold our home games and net practice at the Gentofte Stadium which hosts around 15 other professional clubs.
